Our intention at The University Of Geocosmic Studies (UGS) is to further an emerging industry standard reputation of quality and respected professionalism to anyone interested in a serious study of astrology. Together, we can all join forces to set a new standard in astrological education in the twenty-first century.

All University Of Geocosmic Studies Instructors are Professional Astrologers. Each has many years of expertise and practical experience in guiding student astrologers on the path to professionalism. Our intention at The University Of Geocosmic Studies (UGS) is to further an emerging industry standard reputation of quality and respected professionalism to anyone interested in a serious study of astrology. Together, we can all join forces to set a new standard in astrological education in the twenty-first century.

The University Of Geocosmic Studies was first piloted in the winter of 2002. The trial year succeeded with over 20 students from every corner of the nation, with many passing the NCGR Level I Test. Jackie Slevin began her studies of astrology at age nine after finding her mother's astrology texts from the Faculty of Astrological Studies in London on the living room coffee table. She is the Dean of this online Astrology school, The University of Geocosmic Studies, and past NCGR Co-Director of Education. A full time astrologer, teacher and writer, she has lectured internationally, including UAC 1995 and 2002. She is currently VP of NNJ NCGR. Her articles have appeared in the Llewelyn Sun Sign and Moon Sign books, the Astrology and Medicine Newsletter, Realta, the Journal of the Federation of Austrailian Astrologers and the Journal of the Astrological Association of Great Britain. An internationally published fulltime professional Astrologer, Jackie Slevin M.A., C.A, served as the codirector of the National Council for Geocosmic Research (NCGR) Education from 2000-2003 and is the founder and dean of the University of Geocosmic Studies, a distance learning program. She was the conference coordinator of NCGR Education Conferences in Hartford in 2001 and Minneapolis in 2003. A graduate of Classical Studies in Horary, she was a track coordinator at UAC 1995 and a member of the UAC 2002 Education Committee. She has served on the Board of New Jersey NCGR since 1983 and is currently a member of the NCGR Board of Examiners.

Joe Polise has been practicing astrology since 1990. Holding academic degrees in philosophy and literary criticism, he is a certified consulting astrologer and teacher who has guided many students in the NCGR and UGS education program. During the course of his astrological career, he has been a frequent lecturer at astrology conferences on a variety of topics.

Joanne Castro has served as registrar for the NCGR Education Conferences in Hartford and Minneapolis. Active in the NJ NCGR Chapter, she is serving her fifth year as both President and Education Director, along with lecturing, writing, and mainitaining an astrological consulting practice. Joanne has passed the NCGR rectification requirement of NCGR. Level IV and is actively working to earn her diploma of Certified Astrologer in Education. Honored at UAC 2003 with NCGR's Sisyphus Award, she holds a B.A. in Art with a minor in Psychology from William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ and and MFA in Painting from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.

Terry Lamb is an astrologer, counselor, instructor and healer specializing in spiritually oriented growth through astrology and subtle-body healing. She is the founder and primary instructor of the NCGR Astrological Certification Program and the author of Born To Be Together: Relationships, Astrology and the Soul, and is the forecasting astrologer for Llewellyn's Sun Sign book.
