Q: How does UGS differ from other online astrology schools?
- Our program is acceptable for credit at Kepler College. Classes are one-on-one basis instruction. All classes are conducted by professional certified astrologers with many years of experience.
Q: How are classes held?
- Classes are not held in chat rooms, but are composed of individual Lesson Modules conducted through online and phone sessions with teachers. Our unique format allows learning at your own pace based on one-on-one instruction. Lessons are sent to you in print format and Q&A sessions, lasting up to but no longer than 90 minutes, are held weekly with your teacher through email or Instant Messenger at a time convenient to both student and teacher.
Q: In addition to Course Fees, are other materials or expenses required?
- The Course Syllabus for each Level describes all optional and required books, references and tools. The only mandatory items are those that are required for NCGR Certification Testing. Reference books can be purchased through second hand bookstores, etc. Our courses are designed to keep student costs as low as possible.
Q: How are the learning materials delivered?
- Experience has shown that most students and teachers enjoy having study materials they can hold onto. Therefore, our courseware is printed on standard paper and ready for insertion in the binder of your choice. Upon enrollment, it is sent to you via US Priority Mail or via email in some cases.
Q: Can I use my current astrology software program?
- Astrology software is not required however if you currently have a program then yes, you may use your current astrology software program to generate supplemental charts. However our primary goal in our Level I Course is to teach you how to use the standard reference tools and perform calculations by hand so that you learn from the ground up.
Q: Do I have to be a computer expert to take this course?
- Not at all. Our main focus is on astrology and therefore our classes are designed for every student, regardless of hardware or software accessibility or experience. Should you need technical assistance, we are always available to help.
Q: Are classes self-paced?
- Yes, within the frame work of a reasonable timeframe. Classes are conducted with your teacher in a one-on-one basis which allows you to study and learn without impacting your schedule.
Q: Are the classes and materials available in any other language than English?
- Not at this time however we expect to offer courseware in other languages very soon.
