The Level I Astrology course is designed to introduce you as a student to the solar system, eclipses, retrograde motion and solstices. These are developed in greater depth in Levels II, III and IV. It also gives extensive hands-on experience at Chart Calculation and Interpretation. Additionally, Code of Ethics will be addressed and if applicable, you will be instructed on those topics that can prepare you for Testing for Certification by leading Astrological Associations.
The zodiac upon which Western astrology is based, is the Tropical Zodiac. The Placidus House system is used in this course, including the chart examples. As a background note, the Koch system of houses is also widely used throughout the astrological community and there are many other house systems practiced as well, however Placidus and Koch are the most popular. Placidus was the most widely published Table of Houses for many decades.

Courses are ongoing so there is no need to wait for semester program schedules. Class times are arranged directly between the student and instructor so that both parties determine mutually acceptable or desired times.
This course includes a Quiz and student Assignments at the end of each Lesson. This is not to be confused with any astrological association certification testing.
Your completed written Assignments must be submitted to the Instructor via email, fax or postal mailing. Oral assignments are reviewed via the telephone or through online sessions as deemed by the Instructor.
